For Serge Pietsch, borders are only relevant on the map. Born in 1978 in Bern, he has established his expertise in interior design from Tokyo to New York. His journey began with solid training as a cabinetmaker, followed by intensive development under a renowned craftsman of Graubünden.
For more than a decade, Serge Pietsch honed his skills at a globally operating interior construction company. He specialized in machine processing, assembling, planning, and project management—skills that eventually led him to a leadership role. As a team leader, he was responsible for the realization of luxurious projects for top brands such as Rolex and Omega. Serge Pietsch made a name for himself by transforming design visions into high-quality realities. He played a key role in the design and execution of scenographies for prestigious events such as the "Salone del Mobile Milano" and collaborated closely with renowned designers like Sebastian Herkner, Bureau Hindermann, and Atelier Oï. A particular highlight of his career was personally executing the interior work for the private penthouse of Lord Norman Foster in New York City, as well as the exclusive "Columbus Circle One" project by Peter Marino—one of Manhattan’s most coveted penthouses, curated by Damien Hirst. Most recently, he managed the showrooms of Strasserthun in Thun, Zurich, London, and Palma de Mallorca, while also serving as a "Material Expert" for international architects and designers. Serge Pietsch is distinguished not only by his unparalleled commitment to quality but also by his ability to lead teams with empathy and purpose. He firmly believes that outstanding work can only be achieved in an outstanding environment—a philosophy he has followed since his initial training. Beyond his professional career, Serge Pietsch has developed a deep understanding of typography, graphic and web design, as well as photography. In his free time, he engages with the challenges of modern society and expresses his thoughts through images, graphics, and texts. Serge Pietsch lives with his wife and daughter in Wabern near Bern. |
